Singer and guitarist McLuther Mambala has landed himself a contract with Nox Entertainment which will see him touring Turkey in April 2024 with a full band.
McLuther, who has stunned people with his exploits and has earned kudos from renowned artists such as Erik Paliani, said Thursday he was looking forward to the tour to fly Malawi’s flag “We leave the first week of April and at the moment we are sorting out visas for all band members. This is huge for me and I hope the tour helps in opening up more doors for Malawian artists,” he said.
McLuther thanked fellow Malawian artist Kitson Strings, who is based in Turkey for initiating the deal.
“So, we have Dan Khoviwa on keys, Judah Mkandawire on bass guitar, Titus Mizaya on drums with me on vocals and rhythm guitar. We will also have Kitson on lead guitar,” he said.
The youthful Blantyre based artist said Nox Entertainment has given him a good deal.
“I went through screening and scrutiny, checking what I do when Kitson shared the opportunity it was not automatic. So, my booking is a very exceptional one,” he said.
Kitson said Thursday that McLuther would tour Turkey for the whole summer with the possibility of an extension.
“I had to initiate this deal. Charity begins at home. He is an amazing artist and with his genre, he definitely has a great chance to soar higher,” the musician, who is a graduate from University of Malawi, said.
