Paul Subili, who is Alleluya Band leader, will celebrate his 47th birthday in style with a mega show on Saturday at Liwonde Sun Hotel in Machinga District.
The artist, who alongside his colleague Rod Valamanja have earned the nickname Njobvu zaku Balaka in the music circles, said on Thursday that all was set for the mega show that has attracted what he described as the cream of artists.
“I have come a long way to be where I am today but God has been there for me and today I am celebrating my 47th birthday which is no mean achievement. So, I thought I should organise this mega show to celebrate with the people,” Subili said.
He said in the past years, he has been celebrating his birthday on his own and with fanfare but now he is doing it different with support from other players.
“I am thankful to a number of people including the proprietor of Thoms Park for coming in to support. I just want to call upon people to come and be part of the fun,” Subili famed for songs such as ‘Anali Ndi Cholinga, said.
