Kabula Festival, led by Kabula Diaries, has announced that 61 acts from diverse art disciplines will perform at the second edition.
The second edition is scheduled for Echo’s Park in Blantyre from May 29 to 30, 2026.
Apart from a pool of local acts, who include Kell Kay, Lulu, Joe Ikon, Nathaniel Chaluchalu and Tuno, the line-up has two international headliners in South African artists Heavy K and Mawhoo.
The two South African artists are not new to the country’s showbiz space as they have already had performances, courtesy of other event organisers.
One of the members of the organising team, Desire Mtoso, said Tuesday that they were excited to have the two South African artists, who will share the stage with local acts.

“We saw a perfect balance between the two; one brings experience while the other brings fresh energy. And, beyond that, Heavy K and Mawhoo each bring a distinct sound and presence,” Mtoso said.
Real name Thandeka Ngema, Mawhoo got wide recognition after releasing her debut single ‘Umshado’, which features Heavy K.
Heavy K, born Mkhululi Siqula, is known for projects such as Respect The Drumboss.
Mtoso said the festival was ready to bring music, art, fashion and creative expression to fun lovers under one cultural experience.

“Last year, festival goers were treated to incredible performances, with Patience Namadingo headlining alongside South African stars Sun- El Musician and Prince Kaybee, not to mention a line-up of incredible local artists,” he said.
He said, this year, festival goers should expect more goodies.
“We have made progress in our preparations and are doing it differently this year,” Mtoso said.
