South Africa-based striker Frank Gabadinho Mhango is on the verge of joining Richards Bay after agreeing personal terms.
Mhango, who parted ways with another Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants, is expected to sign a two-year contract according to South African media.
His move to Richards also follows the departure of striker Yanela Mbuthuma, who has since moved to Orlando Pirates.
“Richards Bay have already signed Gabadinho Mhango after the veteran Malawi international parted ways with Marumo Gallants,” Sabc.com reported Friday.
But his manager Mike Makaab confirmed that it was almost a done deal.

“Let the club disclose that please,” Makaab said in a written response Friday.
Makaab last week confirmed that Mhango was in discussion with the Kwazulu-Natal.
“We are talking yes but nothing has been finalised,” Makaab told our sister paper The Daily Times.
Mhango scored five goals for Gallants in the Betway Premiership last season.

He moved to Gallants after Moroka Swallows sold their status to the Bloemfontein-based club. Richards Bay will be Mhango’s seventh club in the Premier Soccer League since 2014.
The Flames talented striker also played for Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows, Amazulu and Bloemfontein Celtic.
While at Pirates, Mhango made history when he won the PSL golden boot award-becoming the first Malawian to achieve that feat after he tied on 16 goals with Namibian Peter Shalulile, who was then playing for Highlands Park.
In 2016, he helped Wits win the PSL title. At Celtic, he finished as the club’s top goal scorer with nine goals in his debut PSL season.
