Flames striker Christopher Kumwembe is doubtful for Sunday’s Cosafa Cup Group B match against Seychelles due to an ankle injury.
The Mighty Mukuru Wanderers player did not take part in Flames training Friday due to the injury he suffered in the first match against Zambia on Thursday.
He was substituted in the second half for Chifundo Mphasi.
However, striker Chawanangwa Kaonga, who was also substituted in the 83rd minute for Frank Willard due to injury, took part in Flames training session Friday.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Technical Manager James Sangala said the doctors were still assessing Kumwembe.

“Kaonga is fine but Kumwembe did not train. I need to get more information from the team doctors,” Sangala said.
Flames interim coach Patrick Mabedi has travelled with four strikers Kumwembe, Kaonga, Gaddie Chirwa and Lanjesi Nkhoma.
Mabedi could be forced to reshuffle his starting line-up against Seychelles due to the injury of Kumwembe. He has other options in attack namely Patrick Macheso, Chrispin Mapemba, Chikumbutso Salima and Patrick Mwaungulu.
However, Kumwembe was not readily available for his comment Friday.

The injury could be a setback for the striker who had a grand game against Zambia. He combined well with Nkhoma, Kaonga and Saizi.
