National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has said the volume of digital transactions on its platforms increased by 34 percent between March and June this year, thanks to its MO Cardless Promotion.
NBM Card Business Manager Stewart Tepelunde said the promotion has brought about substantial impact to its business.
Tepelumbe said at the heart of this campaign was the bank’s drive to inspire and encourage customers to embrace the revolutionary cardless withdrawal service fully.
“This has been an incredibly successful promotion as it has allowed us to surpass our projected targets. This growth is particularly remarkable,” he said.

“Our digital platform offers a wide range of features and the cardless withdrawal is just the beginning. We are working tirelessly to introduce more facilities and accompanying promotions,” Tepelunde said.
Kunozga Mlowoka emerged the grand winner in the competition, walking away with K1.5 million.
Afonso Vincent won K1 million while the third prize of K750,000 went to Miraji Twaha Allie.
The promotion was aimed at encouraging customers to embrace the use of cardless withdrawal services.
