The Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (Admarc) has said maize stocks in its warehouse were not rotten but only discoloured.
Last week, media reports indicated that over 70 metric tonnes (mt) of maize had rotten in Admarc warehouses.
However, speaking during a media tour of its warehouse at Liwonde in Machinga District on Friday, Admarc spokesperson Theresa Chapulapula said 79mt had discoloured.
