All Shades of Beautiful Fashion, a platform that has been vital in promoting fashion designers with and without disabilities has partnered European Union (EU) Zantchito Entrepreneurship Voices ahead of its fifth edition to be held in Lilongwe later this month.
Led by fashion designer Xandria said yesterday they were set for the fifth edition, which will bring on board several activities including an exhibition.
“We are pleased to work with EU Zantchito Voices to bring a fashion spectacle like no other. We have so much to show to fashion lovers and they should expect to sample bold designs, fresh talent and an unforgettable experience,” Xandria said.
She said apart from hosting an exhibition during the event, they are also set to launch a fashion hub where they will be selling products on behalf of the designers as well as having an incubation project.
Xandria said through All Shades of Beautiful Fashion, they are challenging fashion designers to create products that are unique and can sale on both local and international stage.
Last year All Shade of Beautiful Fashion also gathered fashion designers both with and without disability and engaged them in an entrepreneurship masterclass.
She said what they want is “to empower fashion entrepreneurs to enable them to turn their talents and skills into successful businesses.”
“We have discovered that the youth and women have potential to do business but they lack proper business skills, financial literacy and business sustainability,” she said.
Xandria said through All Shades of Beautiful Fashion, they also want to show that there should be no discrimination between able bodied and those, who are disabled.
“This is why we bring all people together. Those who have hearing impairments for example are assisted using sign language interpreters,” she said.
All Shades of Beautiful Fashion started in Blantyre where it held two events before moving to Lilongwe.
