Prophet Shepherd Bushiri under Goshen City on Monday showed his affection for the creative sector when he finally presented K50 million prize package for Miss Malawi 2025 Thandie Chisi.

Chisi was crowned Miss Malawi on December 13 2025 with her princesses Ireen Navicha and Tina Mkombezi.

The K50 million package included K30 million in cash, a fully paid one-year apartment in Area 43, Lilongwe and K10 million dedicated to the newly established Miss Malawi Foundation.

“This is more than just money. It is about our country, our youths, our talents, our hopes and our dreams,” Bushiri said.

He said his presentation of the K50 million and an additional K12 million, they were showing that Goshen City stands with talent in Malawi.

“This is motivation and proof that there are companies and people who believe in talent and creatives’ dreams,” Bushiri said.

Miss Malawi Chief Operations Officer Godfrey Kambewa hailed Bushiri for honouring his pledge saying this was the first time in the pageant’s history that the winner has received her prize in good time.

“This is motivation and that there are companies and people out there who believe in their dreams,” Kambewa said.

Miss Malawi, who is the founder of Sustainable Fashion and Women’s Empowerment, thanked Goshen City for sponsoring the prize package.

“I am excited and full of gratitude. This prize will amplify the work I am already doing with girls and young women, focusing on skill development, education, and economic empowerment,” the queen said.

She then committed to ensuring that women in the country gain confidence and decision-making power in their communities and the nation.

She also said her journey in the creative industry has been strengthened by Miss Malawi’s capacity-building sessions, which taught her about branding and value proposition.

Looking ahead, Chisi said she is preparing to represent Malawi at international pageants, positioning herself as a voice for empowerment and cultural pride.
