good record
By Gift Sitima:
Assembly for Democracy and Development (ADD) president Cassim Chilumpha has asked Malawians to vote for him in the 2025 presidential polls.
Chilumpha, who is a former State vice president, said this at a political rally held at Nyambadwe ground, Ndirande, in Blantyre.
“Malawian are facing a lot of challenges now, which is the opposite of what we were told by the Tonse Alliance during the campaign period. We are failing to produce maize to feed ourselves. Agriculture is the backbone of this country and it is only Admarc [Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation] that can handle agriculture-related things but today they have destroyed it,” Chilumpha said.
He urged Malawians who are disappointed with the current administrations not to lose hope but change things with their vote in 2025.

“The prevailing challenges of hunger, fuel shortage and high cost of living warrant a change of leadership in 2025. Therefore, Malawians should take part in voting when the time to vote comes.
“People should trust my experience and the good record I have in affairs of the government. I have a good track record as vice president and Cabinet minister,” Chilumpha said.
He further called for a reduction in the number of Cabinet ministers.
Chilumpha, a former senior member of the United Democratic Front), was the vice president of Malawi from June 2004 to May 2009 under Bingu wa Mutharika.
