Football fans and fun seekers had a grand post-Castel Cup launch event as they were treated to a musical feast at Hillside Lodge in Mponela, Dowa on Saturday.
Featuring celebrated musicians Skeffa Chimoto, Kell Kay, Tay Grin and Aidfest and Kineo, the gig lived up to its billing.
Mponela Trading Centre turned into a hive of entertainment throughout with several fun activities ahead of the Castel Challenge Cup launch.
Tay Grin popularly known as Nyau king set the pace during the pre-launch activations that started on Friday night before he later invaded Champions Stadium to warm up a match between Blue Eagles and Namitete Zitha to mark the launch of the 2024 Castel Challenge Cup.

From the Stadium, the fun stretched to Hillside Lodge where DJs Bubblegum and Twiggy showed their magic on the decks before the duo of Aidfest and Kineo took over stage.
The duo famed for the track ‘Two Two’ mesmerized fans with their set that saw them serve a number of songs including ‘Attention’, ‘Tamutenga’, ‘Yekha’ which is their latest release and ‘Holy Water’.
But it was ‘Yekha’ that stole people’s hearts; no wonder the energy displayed by the duo saw them performing shirtless despite the chilly night.
Kell Kay was next and continued from where Kineo and Aidfest left off but it was his latest release ‘Bana Pwanya’ which he collaborated with Zambia’s Yo Maps and Prince Luv that sparked.
