The Blantyre Chief Resident Magistrate (CRM) Court has discharged former Homeland Security minister Cecelia Chazama alongside former Immigration Department officers Masauko Katchule Medi, Pudenciana Makalamba and Chandiwira Chandy Chidothe, who were answering charges related to the abuse of public office during their tenures in 2017.
The four allegedly facilitated the recruitment process of 127 unqualified Immigration constables out of 287 candidates who made it to the positions after undergoing six months of training
