Creck Sporting Club’s coaching panel is not off the hook after failing to collect seven points from three matches in the TNM Super League.
The team’s board gave the MacDonald Mtetemera-led technical panel an ultimatum to collect at least seven points from three matches or face the chop.
However, Creck have collected five points from a possible nine points in three matches.
Creck defeated Mafco 2-1 away at Chitowe Stadium before registering 1-1 stalemates against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Civo Stadium and Chitipa United at Karonga Ground.
In an interview Wednesday, Creck Chairperson Muhammad Selemani said although the results have not been satisfactory, a decision has not been made on the matter.

“A decision will be made based on the results and other circumstances the board will consider relevant. Be informed that we, as Creck Sporting [Club], want to perform in order to make our fans happy and increase the number [of fans] in all the districts across Malawi.
“That is why we employed coaches who had performed well at their previous clubs. We are a giant-club-in-the-making and it is just a matter of time,” Selemani said.
The ultimatum was issued in May this year in the wake of the team’s poor results in the TNM Super League.
After 11 matches, Creck are on position six on the 16-member log table with 16 points, 13 points behind leaders Silver Strikers. On the other hand, the rookies are nine points above the relegation zone.

Mtetemera said he was focusing on survival in the league this season.
“I am not focusing on the ultimatum. By the way, I was just reading in the media about it. My target is to keep the team’s TNM Super League status in the debut season,” Mtetemera said.
Before the start of the season, several clubs gave coaches targets.
