Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has given Goshen City Dedza Dynamos players K300,000 each as a token of appreciation for reaching the semifinals of the 2025 Castel Challenge Cup.
Dynamos defeated Ekhaya 2-0 at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.
Following the win, Bushiri gave the team K10 million, to be shared among team members.
Goshen City Trust Director of Communications Aubrey Kusakala said the main objective was to motivate the players “The team has struggled a lot, mainly in the league, and we were about to face relegation but the side survived. Now, after
motivational talks, we are seeing great results and, as such, the president and visionaire of Goshen City decided to motivate the players further as we are gearing up for the upcoming match,” Kusakala said.

He said Bushiri wanted the team to reach their first-ever Castel Challenge Cup
final.
“He will continue to motivate the players as long as they stay focused. Our goal is to reach the final and, possibly, win the cup.
It is possible and doable,” he said.

In the semi-final match, Dedza will meet Blue Eagles, who thrashed Chitipa United 4-1 in a quarterfinal match Sunday.
On their way to the semifinals, Dedza defeated Creck Sporting Club 3-1 at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji before registering a 1-0 victory over Karonga United at Dedza Stadium.
Dedza General Secretary Kondwani Wiseman Banda commended Bushiri for motivating the players.
“We are really excited with the gesture. The players and everyone in the team is excited,” Banda said.
Dedza escaped relegation after finishing on position 13 with 32 points, four points above relegated Mzuzu City Hammers.
Bushiri, through his Goshen City Trust, announced K1.2 billion sponsorship package for the team for a period of two years.
This translates to K600 million per season.
