TNM Super League newcomers Ekhaya United are wasting no time in making good use of the current transfer window, with three top players having already signed for them.
The Blantyre-based side has splashed the cash on roping in Civil Service United influential midfielders Blessings Malinda and Moses Banda, and goalkeeper Joshua Waka of Blue Eagles.
Ekhaya Chief Executive Officer Thando Mhango said they are excited with the new signings.
“We have completed the deals for the three players. We hope their coming will help strengthen our team,” Mhango said.
He said the club is also focusing on signing three more players.

“We are focusing on two players now but I cannot disclose their identities as they belong to other teams at the moment,” Mhango said.
The new players are expected to start playing for Ekhaya in the second round of the elite league.
Eagles confirmed Waka’s move through a statement posted on their Facebook page yesterday.
“The transfer has been completed following successful negotiations between both clubs. Joshua has been an integral part of our squad and has consistently demonstrated professionalism and dedication during his time with Blue Eagles.

“His contributions both on-and-off-the pitch have been invaluable to the club’s recent successes. Blue Eagles FC would like to thank Joshua for his outstanding service and wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter of his career with Ekhaya FC. We are confident he will continue to excel at the highest level,” the statement reads.
Ekhaya moved quickly to sign Waka following the suspension of goalkeeper Elias Missi for three matches for violent misconduct.
Waka has been one of the outstanding goalkeepers in the league this season having kept seven clean sheets in 13 matches.
