“It has been a great week of action in different sports disciplines and we could not have asked for a better finish. It has been such an exciting tournament with the athletes displaying amazing skills. This gives us great hope for the future. We now know that we have worthy future representatives in various games.
“We just need to continue looking after them so that they continue performing. We believe some of these athletes will represent the country at the African Union Region 5 Games in Mozambique next year. So we are looking to the future with renewed hope of getting results in various international competitions,” Ntulumbwa said.
Malawi Schools Sports Association president Blackson Malamula said they will continue working with the education divisions to ensure that the young athletes are well looked after.
“It is all about ensuring that the young athletes are doing the right things so that they remain focused on realizing their full potential in sports. So we will continue to work together with the education divisions to ensure that the athletes refrain from behavioral patterns that can mess up their sports careers,” Malamula said.
