England-based Malawian teenager Sina Makossah has received an offer to play for Spanish club, Pathfinder FC, following his exploits at Basford United Football Academy, which is an establishment of Nottingham Forest.
“You have been identified as a prospective player for Pathfinder FC, a semi-professional football club in Spain that competes in the 4th tier of the Spanish Football Federation League.
“Located in the beautiful Catalonian city, Tarragona, less than 100km from the famous footballing city of Barcelona, Pathfinder CF gives aspiring players the platform to compete in the Spanish Federation League, while actively being promoted to other teams within Spain and European markets,” the invitation letter reads.
Sina said he was thrilled to have been spotted to play in Spain.
“I am so excited as I have always wanted to play in Spain since when I was a kid. So, it was a dream come true for me.

“In secondary school, to the surprise of everyone, including my parents, I dropped Geography for Spanish language. This was driven by my desire to one day play for Real Madrid or Barcelona because of Ronaldo and Messi. I am excited and I would love to move to Spain, where I think I have a better chance to flourish than in England,” Sina said.
The youngster is expected to join Pathfinder in the summer window.
Sina is a versatile player, operating as an all-around midfielder who can play as a central defending midfielder or central attacking midfielder. He can also play as a striker in the number 10 role.
His passion for football took a positive turn when he joined Notts County Football Academy at seven years before moving to Basford United Football College and Educational Academy.

He is currently in his second year at the academy, where he is studying sports science, football development and technologies but also plays semi-professional football in a Youth Premier League.
He was born on September 21, 2005, at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, England.
Former Flames defender Ojukwu Malunga advised authorities to track the youngster.
“It is good that Malawi National Football Team coach Patrick Mabedi is casting his net wider to scout talent. Football authorities should monitor his development for possible call-up,” Malunga said.
