Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has rejected Super League of Malawi’s (Sulom) request to approve Kamuzu Stadium as the venue for tomorrow’s opening match of the 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership season between Mighty Wanderers and Karonga United.
The dispute stems from Sulom’s listing of Kamuzu Stadium in the league’s fixtures as the host venue for the league opener despite the match facility having been banned from hosting top-flight matches by Fam’s Club Licensing First Insurance Body for failing to meet the minimum required standards
