TNM Super League defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets face a tough mission in their search for first win of the season when they square off against Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
The two sides have a chance to make amends for their opening week results after Bullets were held to 1-1 draw against Dedza Dynamos at Dedza Stadium whereas Tigers suffered a 1-3 defeat at the hands of rookies Creck Sporting Club.
Heading into the tie, Tigers have a score to settle against Bullets having lost 1-0 in the second round of last season at the same venue.
The two teams drew 1-1 in the first round.
Tigers will be looking to break a 13-year jinx against Bullets having last defeated the People’s Team 3-0 in a league match in 2011.

Since then, Bullets have dominated the fixture in all competitions.
Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa said there was no need to focus much on history in this fixture.
“We take each and every game as it comes. We do not talk of history when we talk of football. If you prepare yourself to do good, you do good. Tigers are one of the teams that give us torrid times. They do their homework in everything they do so we need to work hard for us to get the three points,” the Zimbabwean, who is looking for a sixth straight league title in domestic football, said.
Bullets will be without Maxwell Gasten Phodo who sustained an injury in the first game against Dedza. Midfielders Mike Mkwate, Frank Willard and defender Alick Lungu are also out due to injury. However, Pasuwa has several players available for selection this afternoon.

Regardless of form, Tigers have always been a tough nut to crack especially in Blantyre.
Although they have not beaten Bullets for 13 years, Tigers Coach Leo Mpulula was optimistic of causing an early upset this season.
“Last week’s result is water under the bridge. We have rectified all the mistakes and we are prepared to face Bullets,” Mpulula said.
At Chitowe Stadium, Mafco straight from their 2-1 loss to Moyale Barracks, face another tough customer Kamuzu Barracks, who held Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to a 1-1 stalemate.
Civil Service United will also be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Mzuzu City Hammers when they host Dedza at Civo Stadium.
Hammers will host rookies Baka City in another potentially exciting match at Mzuzu Stadium.
