Gospel musician Frank Chimpanzi famed for songs such as ‘Bwerani’ comes face to face with Word Alive Worship Team tomorrow in The Gospel Salvation concert to be held at Word Alive Ministries in Blantyre.
Chimpanzi is also set to share the stage with Simplice and Glocence in a free-of-charge concert.
“I am set for this concert which is all about ministering the word of God through music. I just want to call upon people to come in large numbers so that we celebrate together,” Chimpanzi said.
He said music is powerful and that God can transform a person through anointed songs and dance.
Glocence also said on Monday that she was looking forward to an exciting outing during the Gospel Salvation concert.
“It is free of charge because we want people to come in large numbers and enjoy gospel music and at the same time listen to the word of God,” she said.
Word Alive Worship Team has organised the concert.
Other artists performing at the concert are Atu Jana, Caleb, John Fire, The Cutting Edge, Chimmie and T5 and Big Joe.
Vongai Chafewa from Word Alive Praise Team said as a worship team, their mandate does not just end when a church service is over but rather their task is to do more in ministering the word of God through music.
“We remember that Christ has commanded everyone to go out into the world and preach the gospel. This Saturday (tomorrow) is a big day because the whole Word Alive Ministries Blantyre Church will be going into the streets to do placard evangelism in the morning and then the concert in the afternoon,” Chafewa said.
The concert according to the organisers is open to everyone regardless of denomination and that it is all about celebrating salvation as they sing, dance and shout for Jesus Christ
