South Africa-based Malawi National Football Team striker Frank Gabadinho Mhango is in talks with Betway Premiership side Richards Bay for a potential move.
This comes as Mhango is expected to leave his current club, Marumo Gallants, at the end of his contract this month.
His manager Mike Makaab confirmed the development Tuesday.
“We are talking, yes, but nothing has been finalised,” Makaab said.
The development comes after the Malawian’s future at Gallants was in doubt after the striker dragged the side to court over unpaid image rights amounting to 800,000 Rands (about K79 million).

Mhango has also reportedly received offers from other Betway Premiership teams.
But Makaab could not be drawn to comment on other offers his client had received.
The 32-year-old striker was not readily available for his comment Tuesday.
The Flames striker scored five goals in the Betway Premiership last season.

Prior to his move to Gallants, Mhango was at Moroka Swallows.
If the deal to Richards Bay materialises, this will be his seventh club since he moved to South Africa in 2014.
Apart from Gallants and Swallows, the Flames talented striker played for Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows, Amazulu and Bloemfontein Celtic.
While at Pirates, Mhango made history when he won the PSL golden boot award, becoming the first Malawian to achieve that feat after he tied on 16 goals with Namibian Peter Shalulile, who was then playing for Highlands Park.
In 2016, he helped Wits win the PSL title.
At Celtic, he finished as the club’s top goal scorer with nine goals in the PSL.
