Goshen City Trust Wednesday announced a K175 million sponsorship package for the 2026 Miss Malawi beauty pageant.
The package includes K75 million in prizes for the winner. The K75 million includes K30 million cash, a vehicle valued at K35 million and an apartment worth K10 million.
In a statement, Goshen City says K100 million has been allocated to administration and the execution of the pageant, covering production, mentorship programmes, training, accommodation, logistics and event management.

Goshen City President Prophet Shepherd Bushiri said the initiative was aimed at supporting young people.

“Miss Malawi provides a platform [for stakeholders] to identify and nurture talent. This is more than sponsorship; it is an investment in Malawi’s future,” Bushiri said.
He added that, with the right support, young people could rise to represent the country with excellence on the global stage.
In 2025, Goshen City supported capacity‑building initiatives, including engaging renowned pageant coach Alice Rowlands Musukwa and facilitating collaboration with Botswana‑based Brave Hearts to strengthen local production capacity.
Goshen City Trust has further said that this year’s edition is expected to deliver the highest‑quality pageant in the event’s history.

“The 2026 edition, powered by Goshen City’s support, will set new benchmarks in excellence and international competitiveness,” Mdala said.
Meanwhile, Miss Malawi organisers are visiting university campuses and districts to widen participation.
The current Miss Malawi is Thandie Chisi.
