The government says it is developing legislation to govern the National Youth Service (NYS) programme in the country.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Patricia Wiskes disclosed this while making a ministerial statement in Parliament last week.
Then president Lazarus Chakwera launched the service in 2022 as a national strategy to harness the potential of youth through sustained engagement in activities that promote skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship, character building, citizenship and patriotism.
