In Malawi, children found in conflict with the law are sent to reformatory centres to rehabilitate their behaviour.
And a Malawi News investigation has found that instead of getting reoriented towards good citizenship, the children are being ‘deformed’ physically and spiritually by all manner of ill-treatment including beatings while naked.
