The ICT Association of Malawi (Ictam) has donated K1.5 million to ICT Specialist Teachers Association of Malawi (Istam) for hosting the Secondary School National Quiz for Computer Studies.
Ictam General Secretary Andrew Kamwendo said the competition encourages students to develop interest in ICT.
“The tireless effort of Istam deserves our utmost commendation. They have worked diligently to organise this event, ensuring that everything is in place for our students to shine,” Kamwendo said.
Istam President Masemo Kinyota Banda thanked Ictam for the support.
“We registered over 150 schools which eventually participated since Saturday. Although few of them had to withdraw due to financial constraints, most of the schools did positively participate,” Banda said.
