Kaning’a CCAP Praise Team from Lilongwe leaves the country tomorrow for Harare, Zimbabwe, where they will minister the gospel through music.
The group, which is expected back on July 17, has been invited to Zimbabwe by the country’s CCAP City Church of the Harare synod, which is celebrating its eighth anniversary.
The Synod of Harare is one of the five members that make the CCAP General Assembly, a body that includes CCAP synods of Blantyre, Nkhoma, Livingstonia and Zambia.
Kaning’a CCAP Praise Team Director Clement Nkhoma said the trip is an opportunity for them to gain international exposure and spread God’s word through music.
“Through this trip, we want to win souls to the Lord through music,” Nkhoma said.
The group’s music director Prince Mchenga said they have had massive rehearsals ahead of the trip and that they were ready to fly the country’s flag.
“Our God deserves the best from us as worshipers; so, people should expect praise and worship sessions,”Mchenga said.
A 30-member delegation that includes Right Reverend Bisiwick Nkhoma, who also happens to be the moderator of the CCAP General Assembly and Resident Minister of Kaning’a CCAP Church, has made the trip.
Kaning’a Praise Team was formed in 2000 and has, over the years, made trips to Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa to minister the word of God through music.
