Youthful musician Kellie Divine Njuchi on Saturday carved a new calligraphy in her music trail when she successfully launched her debut album titled The Transition at Glalle Gardens in Lilongwe.
The launch which attracted a huge audience lived up to its billing with the headliner as well as curtinraisers putting up virtuoso acts.
The concert however, witnessed a setback when Blantyre-based musician Christina Kholiyo, popularly known as Jetu, got her performance cut short after a glass bottle was thrown on stage.
However, the incident did not dampen the spirits of the audience, as Kellie Divine, raised the bar as the headline by performing twice with a band.

She delivered a spirited performance that showed that she prepared well for the launch that also featured other big name artists such as Chileka reggae group Black Missionaries alongside Anthony Makondetsa, Gibo Pearson and Eli Njuchi.
The artist said Lilongwe surprised her with the huge turnout and that she has been motivated to do more in her music.
“I am short of words for the support that people have given me. This is huge for me and I do not take it for granted. We cannot do without the fans and so, this support means more,” she said.
The dancehall artist said this is the foundation of more things to come for her describing The Transition as mature.
