Youthful singer Kellie Divine Njuchi takes a huge step in her music career as she prepares for the launch of her debut album, The Transition, at Glalle Gardens in Lilongwe.
Though she has performed at various shows and events, this occasion holds special significance as she introduces her first major project to the market.
The 10-track album, according to the artist, demonstrates her versatility and explores various music genres.
“So, in this album, I have tried to bring something new while at the same time showcasing what I am made of as Kellie Divine Njuchi,” the member of Njuchi Music Group said.
She describes The Transition as a reflection of life’s transitions.
“The album explores how life changes from one phase to another. I hope my music inspires others to embrace change and find their own path.
“I am thrilled to share my album with the world and cannot wait to perform live at the album launch,” she said.
The Lilongwe-based artist has collaborated with several artists on her album, including Wendy Harawa, Shammah Vocalz and Sangie.
Some tracks in the album produced by Macia include ‘Better’, a gospel track featuring Driemo, and ‘Praise’, a collaboration with Wendy.
Kellie Divine said the event is a celebration of music, culture and themes of empowerment.
“I want to inspire fellow young people to pursue their passions and make a positive impact in their communities,” she said.
The launch of The Transition will also feature performances by Jetu, Fada Moti, Black Missionaries, Anthony Makondetsa, Don Tarz, K Banton, Miracle Chinga, Eli Njuchi, Chizmo Sting and Sean Morgan.
