President Lazarus Chakwera has assented to the Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government Elections (Amendment) Bill, which Parliament passed on August 5 this year.
This is according to a statement signed by Presidential Press Secretary Anthony Kasunda, which states that Chakwera exercised powers vested in him by Section 89 of the Constitution.
