Football Legends Association (FLA) has incorporated Susan Namangale into the board as an honorary trustee.
Namangale joins FLA board with vast experience having served in various roles as a sports administrator for over 25 years including serving as Chess Association of Malawi (Chessam) President and Zone 4.5 Chess President.

FLA Chairperson Jim Kalua announced the incorporation of Namangale, saying she would help to advance the programmes of the legends body in the country.
“I am excited too as she is a good resource who is passionate. More so we need gender representation,” Kalua said.
Kalua said the legends body will also tap from her experience as a sports administrator.

On her part, Namangale said she was excited with the inclusion.
“I have always admired the FLA mandate and also wished to broaden my sports leadership skills by adding value to another sport other than chess and I find this very strategic. I pray I will be a valuable member of the team,” she said.
Namangale, who was until 2022 Chessam President, has held several local and international positions.
She was also a board member for the Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS), and served as councillor of the planning and development commission of the international chess federation.
