Sworn-rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers are expected to turn back the hands of time when their legends clash at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
The retired footballers have rekindled the rivalry to fundraise for the welfare.
Legends Game Organising Chairperson Kevin Moyo said all is set for the match after undergoing a month long intensive training.
“I would like to assure all Malawians that the game is on Monday. As organisers we want to remind football fans how the Blantyre derby was in the past. We are hopeful that it will be one of the best games as we are gearing up for the new season.
“We want to be doing this before the start of the new season. We have engaged Kinnah Phiri and Yasin Osman to lead Bullets and Wanderers respectively. We will have a fantastic game,” Moyo said.

Meanwhile, Wanderers legend Joseph ‘Shakira’ Kamwendo and Bullets legend Fischer Kondowe have exchanged words ahead of the old Blantyre derby.
Kamwendo, who captained the Nomads to win Bus Ipite Bonanza and TNM Super League championship seven years ago, warned their traditional rivals to expect a torrid affair.
The former Orlando Pirates and TP Mazembe star said they want Wanderers fans to appreciate the real talent.
“We want the new generation to watch what we were doing in the past. It will be a good game. Imagine playing alongside Gift Zakazaka, James Sangala and Thom Milanzi just to mention a few. I am sure Bullets will not withstand the heat. We want to baptise them with more goals,” Kamwendo said.

In reaction, Kondowe, who popularly is known as Anong’a or Jah-man, said Bullets legends were equally hungry for success.
“I feel sorry for Wanderers legends because we are plotting to beat them with a big margin. Every player in Bullets camp knows the importance of this match. We want the current Bullets squad to see what we were doing in the past,” Kondowe said.
Bullets will feature the likes of Robert Baggio Ng’ambi, Grant Lungu, Rahim Ishmael and Noel Kaole just to mention a few. Companies such as World Star Bet, CIC and FDH Bank have sponsored the match.
