Former Malawi National Football Team coach Patrick Mabedi’s claim for K916 million for unfair dismissal has been reduced to K53 million following an Industrial Relations Court ruling (IRC).
Instead, the IRC has ordered Football Association of Malawi (Fam) to pay Mabedi K53,686,500 as damages for unfair dismissal.
This is according to the ruling delivered by Deputy Chairperson Whyson Nkhata on May 25, 2026, which Times Sport has seen.
