Malawi and Morocco have agreed to expand diplomatic ties and “raise them to the level of a real partnership”.
Malawi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, said this at a joint press conference in Rabat after Malawi inaugurated its embassy in that country.
Bourita said the first session of the two countries’ joint cooperation commission scheduled for 2024 will be to consolidate the legal framework of bilateral relations and develop cooperation in several sectors.
“This session will also be an opportunity to update the cooperation roadmap for 2022- 24 to make it the most ambitious tool for promoting bilateral relations,” Bourita said.
