Two of the country’s remaining representatives in My Booth reality show — Chisomo Chimoto and Joe Kellz—on Sunday ducked eviction in an acoustic challenge.
The acoustic challenge, which saw contestants bringing out their vocal abilities, saw the eviction of two contestants — Salome from Zambia and Kudzai from Zimbabwe.
The eviction of Salome and Kudzai means Zimbabwe is remaining with one contestant whereas Zambia has three.
So far, Zambia leads with three representatives, having lost two, followed by Malawi, which lost three, with Zimbabwe at the bottom, having lost four.
Elation Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Sokwani Chilembo, who is one of the judges, said Monday that they were making headway ahead of the grand finale set for next month.

“Things are getting tougher and now we have only six contestants remaining out of the 15, five from each country when we were starting in May. The other thing is that we now have only one female act remaining in Chisomo Chimoto from Malawi,” Chilembo said.
He also indicated that they will have 15 episodes in total, with the grand finale set to have four contestants.
Apart from Chilembo, the other judges of the competition are the country’s musician Patience Namadingo, who is signed to Elation Entertainment, Maureen Lilanda and Blessing Bled Chimanga from Zimbabwe.
Through My Booth, the contestants are sharing one house, band and microphone for the ultimate prize of $50,000 recording deal and $ 10,000 cash.
