Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Coach Mark Harrison has asked Nomads fans to be realistic as his charges chase a quadruple this season.
Harrison made the remarks after Wanderers defeated Premier Division side Zingwangwa United 4-1 to set up a quarterfinal tie against another lower league side Santhe Admarc.
Harrison, who last season inspired Wanderers to Airtel Top 8 Cup glory, said it is not wrong to expect the team to win but such expectations should be real.
“They (supporters) always expect us to win every game. They need to wake up and be realistic.
The league is wide open; no [chance for] mistakes with 15 games to go. It is anybody’s to take. If we can get a good run and put some back-to-back wins together, then we can be in a good position,” he said.

Harrison said he has encouraged his troops to aim for four trophies.
“We spoke with the players during the week. We have four competitions to win. We are in all four competitions. We have a chance of doing well in each and every competition.
“That is the challenge. Can we win all the four trophies this year? We will wait and see but we will keep pushing hard,” the Briton said.
Wanderers Supporters Secretary Chifuniro Chimlambe said they were backing the coach to flourish.

“We have been on a campaign to teach our supporters that, in football, we should expect a win, lose or draw to avoid piling pressure on the team and coach.
“For some fans, it is hard to accept results. For instance, if you consider the game against Zingwangwa, you will agree with me that Wanderers had an upper hand in all departments. Then, if we were to lose, how could we xplain that? What we want is that the team should be fighting for a good result and not giving games away without putting up a fight. It is our wish to win a quadruple or at least two trophies this season,” he said.
Wanderers are fourth on the log table with 28 points, six behind leaders Silver Strikers, who have played 16 games, one above the Nomads. In the FDH Bank Cup, Wanderers are in the quarterfinals while the Airtel Top 8 Cup and Castel Challenge Cup are yet to begin.
