The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has introduced an international certification system aimed at enhancing quality, safety and marketability of local products.
The system provides conformity assessment and requirements for bodies providing certification to products, services and processes.
The system, which was developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation and International Electro-technical Commission, contains international standards on top of available Malawian standards and is expected to be implemented from September 17.
