Newly-appointed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers assistant Coach Meck Mwase has said the silverware target that the board set for the technical panel is achievable.
Mwase will be assisting the team’s former coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan who has returned on a year-long contract with the board asking them to win the TNM Super League championship and at least two cups.
Also making comebacks are Technical Director Yasin Osman and Team Manager Steve Madeira.
Mwase said achieving the set targets is possible.
“With love and unity prevailing in the team, the targets are quite attainable. All we need is the support of all stakeholders in the club.

Everything will automatically fall into place if we all pull in the same direction. We just need to work together as a family,” he said.
In an interview with Times Sport last week, Wanderers president and board chairperson Thomson Mpinganjira said winning the league title and two cups this season is a must for Wanderers.
“We need to snatch the league away from Bullets and also win at least two cups. I have invested a lot in this club for the past two years and I need results,” Mpinganjira said.
However, one of the country’s long time football analysts and player agent Felix Ngamanya Sapao said winning the league title this season is a tall order for the Nomads.

“Football has a cycle and it normally runs for four years. [FCB] Nyasa Big Bullets are in their third year of the first cycle and I see them coming into the 2024 season much stronger than last season. This is so because they have kept the spine of their squad for the past two seasons.
“As for Wanderers, their strength lies in the wings and not in the middle. Their centre backs are also inconsistent while the central strikers also need that extra edge. So it is 50-50 for them but with total commitment and unity within the team’s set up and improvement in the areas I have mentioned, it is possible for them to win the league,” Ngamanya Sapao said.
Wanderers wrapped up the 2023 season without any trophy as their bitter rivals once again stamped their authority with a clean sweep of everything that local football brought on the table.
The Nomads only managed a third-place finish in the TNM Super League having exited the Castel Challenge Cup in the semifinals at the hands of Bullets.
They also slumped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Mafco in the FDH Bank Cup semifinals.
Their fortunes were worse in the Airtel Top 8 Cup where their quarterfinal match against Silver Strikers ended in controversy with a Football Association of Malawi disciplinary committee determination going against them after a string of legal battles.
