NBS Bank has described the inaugural National Division League (NDL) as a great success.
The bank’s head of marketing, Frank Magombo, made the remarks at Mpira Village in Blantyre ahead of the league’s grand finale this Sunday.
Magombo said the maiden league delivered positive outcomes.
“We are more than satisfied. The matches have been played very well and we have seen a lot of talent. All the games were played without violence, which is a great success,” he said.
He added that the league provided a good platform for teams to gain experience.

“It was competitive, not based on names but on talent. We have given the regional teams experience to compete in a league format and we believe they will not struggle,” Magombo said.
Magombo also said the bank looks forward to seeing more players from the league playing for the national team in the near future.
In addition, he said the league allowed people across the country to access decent banking services.
“We see ourselves as part of the community. As a caring bank, we ensured that all the fans watching 126 matches had a chance to open a new account with us,” he said.
