Mighty Wanderers are looking at the possibility of signing three more players to beef up the squad ahead of the forthcoming season.
This comes after the Nomads completed the signing of Mzuzu City Hammers goalkeeper Chancy Mtete and Karonga United midfielder Nanison Mbewe Tuesday.
The two players signed a three-year contract each.
Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi said all things being equal, they would sign two defenders and an attacking midfielder.
“Based on what we have, we are looking at two defenders. We are also promoting some players from our reserve side. We will be done on the player transfer market after we sign the three players,” Ndovi said.

Asked on who is recommending the signings, Ndovi said they were following a technical report from interim coach Bob Mpinganjira.
“The technical panel identified the areas which need to be strengthened and recommended which players we should sign,” he said.
Wanderers have already agreed to appoint Bob Mpinganjira on a one-year contract, with the option to extend it.
However, the team is yet to officially announce the news.

The arrival of Mbewe means he will compete for places with Felix Zulu, Dan Kudonto and Blessings Singini whereas Mtete will fight for a starting role with Dalitso Khungwa and Vincent Mdoka, who has been promoted from their reserve side.
First choice goalkeeper William Thole has declined to extend his contract beyond February 17 2025 whereas Richard Chipuwa is reportedly linked with a goalkeeping trainer post at the reserve side.
Hammers General Secretary Benjamin Thole confirmed the departure of Mtete, who only conceded once in open play in the 2024 Ibongetse Castel Challenge Cup.
“We have agreed transfer terms for Mtete with Wanderers,” he said.
However, Karonga General Secretary Ramsey Simwaka was not readily available for his comment.
The arrival of Mbewe and Mtete means Wanderers have bolstered their squad with three players after signing striker Promise Kamwendo.
