Award-winning musician Onesimus is set to perform in Israel next month. It will be his first performance there.

The artist, who is basking in the glory of bagging the Song of the Year Award for the romantic hit ‘Controller’ in the Music Video Africa Awards (MVAA) 2024 recently, confirmed the development on Sunday.

“Biz Products has invited me to perform there. It is the first time and I am excited,” Onesimus, who will perform on October 17 2024, said.

Meanwhile, Onesimus has revealed that he would be introducing merchandise soon.

“My fans will be able to buy my newly designed shoes and clothes,” the artist, who has also developed a new website to enable his fans to get everything—including exclusive content and not-yet-released songs—in one place said.

On being nominated in the upcoming Zikomo Awards, which have also seen another Malawian artist Temwah getting nominations, Onesimus said he did not take it for granted.

“I am grateful. The nominations mean a lot to me and Malawi,” Onesimus said.

Onesimus has been nominated in the categories of Best Zikomo Artist of the Year and Best Zikomo Song of the Year for ‘Controller’.

The ‘Why Do Me So’ creator recently won the Male Artist Award at the Hapa Awards in Tanzania and Best Star Artist of the Year Award in South Africa.

The artist also wrote on Facebook recently that ‘Controller’ had been submitted for the 67th Grammy Awards under the Best African Music Performance.
