Piksy on Saturday night gave fun lovers a dosage of entertainment at the Blantyre March Madness organised by Beerland Festival at Moneymen Club in Blantyre.
The ‘Unamata’ and ‘Anana’ creator was roped in at the 11th hour by Beerland Festival following the pulling out of Eli Njuchi due to illness.
Backed by DJ Mighty Virus, Piksy, who drifted from performing with a band as is always his trade in recent times, he was welcomed on stage with cheers as the audience moved closer to the stage.
From the word go, he left no stone unturned and went on to offer one song after the other including ‘Anana’, ‘Chonchobe’ and ‘Uncle Short One’, as the audience sang along to almost all the tracks that he served.
On two occasions, the Blantyre-based artist, who runs with the signature ‘Chimfana Chodziwika Ndi Boma’, left the stage to interact with the audience.

“I am excited to perform here, I am always ready and so, I enjoyed every moment. I would like to thank the organisers for engaging me to be part of the Blantyre March Madness,” Piksy, who jumped on stage after the audience had enjoyed performances from DJs such as Zulu, said.
He said despite being engaged at the 11th hour, he was prepared for the event that apart from music also gave a chance to business entrepreneurs to network and at the same time sell their products such as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, hot dogs, burgers, chicken and chips and other foods.
Revellers were also treated to shisha and massage on a night where some womenfolk clad in among others, bum shorts and miniskirts with men in shorts as well as the night was friendly as regards its weather.
Hosted by DJ Love, the event was the first for Beerland Festival for 2024 as well as a debut at Moneymen Club.

Their last outing in the commercial city was at Green Valley Garden, a few kilometres from Moneymen Club where they attracted an impressive patronage.
It was however, a different story on Saturday when the event failed to pull a huge audience.
“I have now registered Beerland Festival and so, this year we will hold more of these events so that we have fun and at the same time give people a chance to sell their products,” DJ Kenny said.
With support from companies such as TNM and Cocacola, the event started in the afternoon and spilled over to the early hours of yesterday with people partying all the way.
“This is a good platform, I have enjoyed the outing. Apart from the food and drinks, those with businesses also made a kill,” one of the people, who travelled all the way from Chilomoni, said.
Visual artist Tee Mlinga also gave people an experience with face painting and sip and paint.
