The new Director of Sports in the Ministry of Sports, Justice Msopera, has said his main mission is to help government develop sports in the country.
Msopera was promoted from deputy Director of Sports, replacing Jameson Ndalama, who became Principal Secretary in the ministry.
“I do not take this promotion for granted. I thank government for entrusting me with this responsibility and I will work hard to achieve what is expected of me. Sports is a big industry and we need to develop the sector,” Msopera said.
He joined the ministry in 2008 as Principal Sports Officer, rising to Deputy Director of Sports.
He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Malawi, an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi and is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management at Mzuzu University.
