Malawi National Netball Team acting Coach Samuel Kanyenda has refused to throw in the towel ahead of the Fast5 Netball World Series slated for Christ Church in New Zealand.
The Queens are expected to arrive in New Zealand today ahead of the two-day event slated for November 11 and 12.
Despite inadequate preparations, Kanyenda said the Queens will work hard to impress at the event.
“It is a difficult assignment. We cannot lament about preparations but rather use the remaining time correctly while keeping our confidence high. If we have will power we can shock those that are underrating us,” he said.
Kanyenda will be without Melbourne Vixens shooter Mwawi Kumwenda, who excused herself to pave way for young blood.
