The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) has stopped all major procurement activities in response to a recent government directive aimed at reducing public spending and improving financial discipline.
In a statement released Thursday, the central bank indicates that the suspension covers all new tenders, requests for proposals, contract talks and any ongoing procurement of goods, services or works.
