The 2025 TNM Super League title race has turned into a three-horse race involving leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, second-placed Mighty Wanderers and defending champions Silver Strikers.
This afternoon, Bullets can open a three-point gap if they win against Karonga United at Karonga Ground.
With five matches to go, Bullets are above Wanderers on goal-difference with 56 points.
Sunday, Wanderers face Ekhaya FC at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre whereas Silver will host Songwe Border United at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.
Bullets and Wanderers are six points above Silver with the Central Bankers having a game in hand.

The Blantyre-based giants are hoping for improved performances after losing their last matches in Mchinji and Mzuzu respectively.
Bullets lost 2-0 to Creck Sporting Club on Sunday, three days after defeating Kamuzu Barracks (KB) by the same margin. Wanderers dropped points when Chitipa United held them to a goalless stalemate.
The Nomads then went on to endure their first defeat of the season, a 2-1 loss to Mzuzu City Hammers.
Silver took advantage of the two teams’ slip up to narrow the gap.

This means the league will have twists and turns in the remaining fixtures.
After the trip to Karonga, Bullets will face Moyale at Mzuzu Stadium on Wednesday.
If Bullets get six points from the Northern Region, they will make a strong statement of their intent to reclaim the title they surrendered to Silver last season.
The People’s Team will wind up the season with matches against Ekhaya, Mighty Tigers and Hammers.
Bullets assistant coach Gilbert Chirwa said they will not lose without a fight.
“The race is still on and we will keep on fighting,” he said after a 2-0 loss to Creck.
The Nomads’ next opponents after tomorrow’s match are Karonga, Civil Service United, Moyale and KB.
Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira though disappointed with the loss to Hammers, said they will not give up.
“We have to take each game as it comes,” he said.
Silver coach Peter Mgangira said he has told his charges to exercise caution against Songwe.
“Songwe have nothing to lose. It is us who need the points most,” he said.
Meanwhile, the battle for survival has also reached the climax with six teams fighting hard to escape relegation with Songwe having already been relegated.
The six are Hammers, Tigers, Goshen City Dedza Dynamos, Mafco, Moyale and Creck.
Tigers and Hammers occupy the last two relegation spots with 26 and 27 points, respectively.
Both sides have three matches each to save their souls.
