About 18 people, including Mary Chilima—spouse to the late vice president Saulos Chilima—and former secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba are this week bound to testify in the ongoing public inquiry into the June 10, 2024 Chikangawa Forest Plane Crash that killed nine people.
Chilima and former first lady Shanil Dzimbiri, Abdul Lapukeni, Dan Kanyemba, Lukas Kapheni, Chisomo Chimaneni, Owen Sambalopa, Flora Selemani-Ngwinjili and Wallace Aidini met their fate on their way to attend the funeral service of lawyer Ralphael Kasambala in Nkhata Bay District.
