Senegal have been crowned Africa Cup of Nations champions after stunning hosts and favourites Morocco 1-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat last night.
Pape Gueye scored the only goal of the game with a shot into the top corner in extra time.
There were ugly scenes in second-half stoppage time as Brahim Diaz missed a controversial penalty which was awarded on VAR check.
Referee Jean Jacques Ndala awarded the penalty after Diaz was judged to have been fouled by El Hadji Malick Diouf.
