Every time FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers meet the match is always an explosive affair and it seems this afternoon’s First Capital Bank’s (FCB) 30th anniversary celebration match is another tough encounter.
The two teams clash at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this afternoon.
This is a dress rehearsal for the Airtel Top 8 final as the two sides will meet in the 2025 decider scheduled for next month.
The two sides are meeting for the second time this season having met in the TNM Super League opener which Bullets triumphed 1-0 at the same venue.
Silver have scores to settle against a side that is keen to consolidate their dominance over their rivals.

On the other hand, Bullets seek to put icing on the festivities of their official sponsors.
Despite being a celebration match, the stakes are high. There is a trophy to fight for this afternoon.
This is also a good opportunity for the two teams to rest some of the regulars.
Silver Coach Peter Mgangira said the match was an opportunity for him to assess some of the players.

“It will be a good match. Likely, we will give a chance to some of the players who have not been playing regularly and others who have just recovered from injury,” Mgangira said.
This afternoon, Mgangira will likely feature players such as Chisomo Mpachika, Innocent Shema, Stain Davie and Pilirani Mapira.
On the other hand, Bullets coach Peter Mponda will also likely feature some of the fringe players such as Ephraim Kondowe, Dominic Musonda and Paul Master.
As part of the celebrations, there will be several activities at the stadium to entertain spectators.
