University of Malawi (Unima) Media for Development students on Friday launched mini series titled Silent Voice.
The mini-series has nine episodes.
Director and producer Odala Balamu Phiri, who is a lecturer in the Media for Development Department, said the mini-series seeks to tackle mental health issues amongst young people.
“The mini-series was shot within the campus and all the actors are media for development 2019 intake students. Through this series, we are trying to encourage youths to open up when faced with challenges that stress them up,” Phiri said.

She gets pregnant and ends up disrupting her tertiary education.
Director of Continuity Laurlyn Mkuziwaduka said they were hopeful that the mini-series will also help in growing students’ acting skills.
Mphatso Zidana, who watched the mini-series, described the movie as good but advised the team to screen the film in other areas as well.
