Zambian legends have said they have learned from their Malawian counterparts, Football Legends Association (FLA).
Team Leader Makundika Sakala made the remarks after completing their familiarisation tour of Malawi on Saturday.
Sakala said the Zambian legends had drawn several lessons from their Malawian counterparts.
Sakala said their Malawian counterparts were more advanced than them in many aspects.
“Malawian legends are more organised than us. When we visited Malawi in December last year, we saw how the legends were dressed; we said ‘This is good’. This is one of the lessons we can pick from these guys. We have a bigger population than Malawi and we have some legends who are crowd pullers, So, why can’t we do the same in Zambia?” Sakala said.

He said the lessons learned would enable them to reorganise themselves once back in Zambia.
The Zambian contingent comprised Clifford Mulenga, William Njobvu, Sakala, Mwiinga Mainga and Isaac Chansa.
While in the country, the five Zambian legends visited Champion Stadium, MediHealth, Ebenezer, MMM Sports Plus, Rab Processors and HTD. They also graced the launch of Masters Football Club at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
Speaking on behalf of FLA, Peterkins Kayira said the visit strengthened the relationship between the two countries.

“We strategically believe this will be enough for them to grasp something that can help them to keep going as former footballers. We will continue learning from other countries as well and we will, in this meeting, discuss the possibility of [organising] a four-nation tournament,” Kayira said.
Malawi legends beat their Zambian counterparts 6-5 after coming from behind to force a 2-2 stalemate in regulation time last year.
Malawi and Zambia legends first played against each other in Chipata, Zambia, in 2023 before meeting again in 2024 and last year.
